Central Changemakers and the Four Day Work Week
Last month, our Managing Director Jo Burns-Russell was invited to become a fellow of the RSA, The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce. This month, she’ll take part in their Central Changemakers series, shining a light on the 4-day week we’ve implemented at Amplitude, and the possible shape of future work.
The talk is open to all and takes place on the 12th of October from 1:00pm, lasting around 45 minutes. Register to attend for free by clicking here.
What is the 4-day work week?
The 4-day work week is exactly what it sounds like: Amplitude employees now only work four days per week, but take home the same amount of pay. Key to making this work is ensuring the quality and quantity of our output doesn’t decrease. Jo will be talking about what she’s learnt from the experience so far, and about how working four days per week has driven efficiency across our agency.
But who is the RSA? What is Central Changemakers?
The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce is a society of problem solvers and changemakers working to deliver creative solutions for lasting, beneficial change.
Their weekly Central Changemakers series is a space where people making a social impact can be heard within an interactive space. This space is typically an informal online talk led by a ‘changemaker’. Attendees are invited to give their thoughts and experiences on related topics or social changes they’ve experienced.
