Our 2000 Trees Initiative

Climate change is getting scary. In the UK, we’re facing yellow weather warnings one month then heatwaves the next. Australia faces record-high temperatures while the US gets the opposite. Habitats and species are being lost at rates not seen in recorded history, and ocean temperatures are rising at alarming speeds. But it’s not yet too late to help. We recognise that we have a responsibility to help protect our planet and the billions of species that live on it. That’s why we’re launching our 2000 Trees Initiative.

Trees are vitally important to the planet’s ecosystems. Woodland soaks up carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releases oxygen. Forests provide habitats for countless species and livelihood and sustenance for millions of people around the world. But it’s estimated that every year – through a combination of climate change and logging activity – we lose 18.7 million acres of forest.

To help combat this, we’re partnering with One Tree Planted to plant 30 trees for every project we complete in 2019. And that’s per project, not per client, meaning some of our regular clients will help us plant hundreds of trees this year, which is pretty exciting! One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organisation that plants trees throughout the Americas, Asia, and Africa, the places that have suffered the most loss. We’re super pleased to be partnering with them to help repair some of the damage done to our planet.

We’re passionate about caring for our planet, because when the planet benefits, we all benefit. This is just the first environmental initiative we’re unleashing this year. There’ll be more to come in the following months, so keep your eyes on the blog for more.
